"The Lazarus Phenomenon" is a video about two different people in totally different parts of the world who have experienced death for a short time and were revived to tell about it.
There are literally hundreds or even thousands of stories from people all over the world all with similar heaven and hell experiences.
What struck me most about a man's experience in this particular video was who he was [a Pastor] along with realizing how desensitized followers of Jesus Christ are in today's society. This Pastor appeared to be a good person and absolutely no reason not to make it to Heaven, but in his life after death experience, God said his portion at that moment would be hell. You want to know why? Watch the program!
Being from a Baptist background, I have heard over and over again the teaching of "once saved, always saved." In the last few years that theory has troubled me but now after hearing this Pastors story I know why I was uneasy. We are so desensitized by the enemies influences in our world that we do not realize how far we have come from living as Jesus tells us to.
Going to church does not make us Christians. Many unsaved people in the world are turned away from Christians because of their worldly behavior. Christians are okay about expressing their Christianity in front of their Christian friends, or they have "boundaries" in which is acceptable to speak about Jesus in front of unsaved friends. Few are willing to step into that frightening position of losing their job or friends or popularity because of their faith in Christ.
With the influences of the Jezebel spirit in the world today, 2 Timothy 3, selfishness and revenge are common even in professing Christians. This video is a must see. It definitely makes you look yourself over and want to talk to God to make sure that your own heart is in the right place with Him.
