How To Be Free Through Deliverance

Page 2

I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; and turned not again until I had consumed them. And I have consumed them, and wounded them, that they could not arise: yea, they are fallen under my feet.

For thou hast girded me with strength to battle: them that rose up against me hast thou subdued under me. Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me. 2 Samuel 22:38-41

D. What One Does To Stay Free Of The Demons

(1) Keep your focus on Jesus and don't focus on demons.

(2) Immerse yourself in the Word of God.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, [then] are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:31-32

a. Read 3 to 5 chapters per day

b. Listen to teaching tapes or read faith building books

c. Think upon the scriptures that specifically apply to your need

NOTE: I would like to add here that it is also helpful to play praise and worship music especially while you sleep. -POR Admin-

(3) Pray in tongues.

He that speaketh in an [unknown] tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all. 1 Corinthians 14:4, 18

a. Start out at 15 min/day continuously.

b. Build up to 1 hr/day or more.

NOTE: If you cannot speak in tongues, just pray. There is no evidence in the Bible that says you are not a Christian or any less of a Christian if you cannot speak in tongues. A whole lot of tongue speaking in churches today is the demonic/counterfeit tongue. Read more about speaking in tongues.

(4) Resist the demons and command them to go away and leave you in the NAME OF JESUS - do whenever necessary.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8

(5) Control mind and will.

a. Battle is in the mind - Satan tries to corrupt your mind.

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:3

b. Think on good things.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8

c. Take your thoughts captive to the Word of God.

(For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

d. Refuse acceptance of symptoms.

They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy. Jonah 2:8

e. Resist steadfastly thoughts of fear, insecurity, anger, frustration, etc. so you don't open the door for the demons to come back in.

(6) Change your ways and lifestyle and sin no more.

Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. John 5:14

a. REPENT or turn around from sin (missing the mark so as not to share in the prize).

Get out of any bad environment and stay away from the devil's territory.

Neither give place to the devil. Ephesians 4:27

b. Keep yourself from sin.

We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. 1 John 5:18

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? Romans 6:16
